CERTIFICATION

How to become a certified fabricator

Select the tab based on your status as a new or returning fabricator.

If you are a fabricator interested in becoming certified,  your next step is to complete the Certified Fabricator Application

Certified Fabricator Application.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The general requirements for certification are 5 years' experience working with other solid surface brands or completion of industry level training such as ISFA and past commercial projects, preferably in healthcare.

  • All approved fabricators will be assumed to have a deep knowledge of solid surface fabrication techniques and the art of fabrication.   The purpose of the above requirements is to set prerequisites of skill level as EOS Surfaces is not teaching basic entry level fabrication techniques but merely highlighting the subtle differences to work with EOSCU Preventive|Biocidal Solid Surface.

TRAINING PACKAGE

Each fabricator trainee is provided a customized training package that includes:

  • Training Manual

  • Exam Directions

  • Fabricator Acknowledgement

  • Scheduled Fabricator Coaching Call

  • Certificate of Completion

COACHING CALL

  • EOS provides one, initial fabrication coaching call at no cost to the fabricator. Each company seeking certification can sign up as many employees for that training as desired.
  • Each participant must separately complete the Fabricator Application
  • Required to complete the independent study portion (steps 1-3) prior to the scheduling of the fabrication coaching call.

FINAL STEPS

  • Within 24 hours of completion of the fabrication call the Fabrication Expert will complete the final fields on each trainees’ customized training package and the trainee is considered certified. Certificate of Completion on last page of packet.
  • The initial EOSCU Certified Fabrication Training is good for 1 year (12 months).
  • An extension to the certification of 1 year (12 months) is provided with the purchase of EOSCU Material and /or warranty registrations. After year one, a company is required to be recertified unless they have been actively purchasing EOSCU over that time. Recertification requires the application be filled out but is a much faster process. (Essentially, each purchase of  EOSCU extends the certification for a year. The goal here is to ensure that all fabricators are remaining on top of new lessons, including changes and updates.)
  • Failure to purchase material or register projects for the 10-year warranty will result in an expired certification. This policy is included in the Fabricator Acknowledgement that was part of the training packet.
  • A provisionary 3 month extension may be extended if the fabrication company has reached the 12 months of inactivity but is currently associated with an out for bid project. This extension and any others will be at the discretion of the Fabrication Expert.
