Created in EOS Surfaces’ laboratory in Coastal Virginia, EOScu is the result of a multi-year effort to infuse polymers with high loading levels of naturally biocidal copper oxide to create the world’s first, clinically proven, self-sanitizing surface. EOS Surfaces has leveraged this creation into a groundbreaking, multipronged Infection Prevention Therapy. While others had successfully woven polymerized copper oxide into textiles, EOS Surfaces is the first (and only) in the world to successfully load copper oxide into a broad array of polymers at the concentration levels necessary to create an efficacious and federally registered biocidal surface.

EOS overcame significant chemistry challenges inherent in the catalyzation of loading high percentages of copper oxide into a polymer, achieving an unprecedented milestone. A laser-focused team at EOS, under the guidance and vision of its CEO, has created, manufactured, and brought to market a line of EOSCU Preventive Biocidal | Surfaces™ products that effectively and ingeniously address the growing world-wide issue of infection control and prevention.

From the very beginning, the Company's founder, Kenneth G. Trinder, II, established a firm commitment to the science. Despite it being the longer, more expensive and arduous pathway to market, Trinder remains focused on maintaining the integrity of that science and building a solid, ever-growing foundation of statistically significant evidence of effectiveness. 

EOSCU is clinically proven to actively and continuously, even after recontamination, kill the deadly hospital pathogens that plague healthcare, including resistant infections like MRSA and Clostridium diffcile. Requiring no human intervention or additional protocols, EOSCU reduces the bioburden of the patient environment and closes the gap between routine, daily cleanings.

The team continues to innovate and build out new applications to meet the needs of the healthcare industry as it strives to improve outcomes and patient experience.

SUSTAINABLE SURFACE

EOS Surfaces introduces GEOS Recycled Glass Surface™, providing an environmentally friendly option that is comprised of recycled glass. GEOS Recycled Glass Surface™ is carried by The Home Depot® and other national distributors.

2007

INNOVATIVE SURFACE

The product receives the International Surface Fabricators Association’s (ISFA) Envision Award, honoring  the year’s most innovative product.

2005

FOUNDED

EOS Surfaces, LLC is founded and revolutionizes the solid surface industry with the first 3 cm solid surface. This shift reduces manufacturing and installation costs by almost half for these advanced nonporous surfaces.
